This hand care guide is intended to provide you with a few helpful tips to keep you safe and healthy during these unfamiliar times. It’s a truly surreal situation, watching the pandemic sweep across the globe disrupting our lives more and more each day. As unnerving as it has been, it has been encouraging to witness communities coming together to support one another, reaching out to our most vulnerable members of society.

How do I prevent Coronavirus?

Despite the constant flow of information, we thought we’d share some simple steps to keep you and your family healthy. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), there are 7 measures to help prevent contracting Covid-19:

1. Wash hands frequently (for at least 20 seconds).
2. Catch your cough (with a tissue or your sleeve).
3. Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth).
4. Avoid crowded places.
5. Stay at home if you’re feeling unwell.
6. Seek help if you have a fever, a cough and a high temperature.
7. Follow the WHO (below) for updates.

Other things to consider!

As your physical health and wellbeing are of the utmost important right now, make sure you’re eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, keeping hydrated and getting plenty of sleep. However, if the constant media coverage is a little overwhelming, don’t forget about your mental health and take break from it.
